Our Potential

What if humans had never been created? I know, I know, we wouldn’t even KNOW it, right? Right. But that very thought should make us so very grateful that God did create us. For a purpose. He had a vision. And as we live the life that God has graciously given us, we are all too aware of the suffering in the world. Generation after generation of suffering, war, pain, injustices, etc., etc.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
— I John 3:2

Then. Now. And to come.

We did choose that, though, didn’t we? We decided that we wanted to decide for ourselves. We are still deciding for ourselves. There is a price for choosing incorrectly. This was known before the foundations of the world.

So, if the price was known, the price that would need to be paid—the Sacrifice…..before we were ever brought into existence, doesn’t it make you wonder about the intended end? The final product? The great purpose behind it all.

With the bestowed formation of humanity, through the misery that mankind inflicts on itself, we must question the desired result sought by God for us. In contrast to our enduring existence, that finished, complete, perfect conclusion of us must be spectacular. It must be….to have been worth it. Worth the Sacrifice.
